New Student Orientation
May 15th, 2013 by Linda Kasyan
New Student Orientation sessions for Spring 2014 will be held on both campuses from December 16 to December 19 for accepted students who have not previously attended Cape Fear Community College. The Orientation sessions provide new students with the opportunity to learn about the various services provided at CFCC, meet with advisors to develop course schedules, and register early for Spring semester classes.
Attendance is by invitation only, and RSVP is required. New students who have been accepted to the College will receive an Orientation invitation and reservation information in the mail beginning November 14. Students unable to attend the on-campus orientation sessions will be able to view an online presentation beginning December 21 and are eligible to register for classes at that time. Final registration day is January 2, and classes begin January 6.
Once you receive your New Student Orientation invitation in the mail, log into the mycfcc.edu portal, click the “Orientation” tab at the top of the page, and select the location, day, and time you plan to attend an Orientation session. The site is password protected. The password will be listed on your Orientation invitation.
General campus tours for new students will be available each day at the following times:
North Campus, December 16 and 18, 10 a.m., McKeithan Center Atrium
Wilmington Campus, December 17, 10 a.m., Union Station Lobby
Wilmington Campus, December 19, 3 p.m., Union Station Lobby
Returning students (those who have previously attended CFCC) are not required to attend New Student Orientation and may register for Spring classes beginning November 11 and view the online orientation program beginning December 21 on this web page.
Welcome to CFCC and GOOD LUCK in your studies!
