Experience with various supporting services and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NFS, VOIP) is desired. This position will be responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house servers, desktops, and peripherals. Specific responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, upgrading, and documenting the system infrastructure while ensuring optimal system performance. The position will also install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate, and install patches and resolve software related problems.

Description:

Reporting & Analytics Intern

A request for an intern that currently has experience in database creation and is familiar with the languages and methods we currently use. The intern will assist with the creation of database development projects that will allow for more accurate measurement of training initiatives. Responsibilities will also include conducting field focus groups on current tools for potential updates/changes or other needs.

The intern will assist with the following:

Database Creation Assist with creating solutions for our customers that are lower on the priority list and need to be completed

Conduct Focus Groups with current customers to assess tools and any ideas of improvement

Process Documentation

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have minimum 2 yrs. experience with the following languages: SQL; C#; ASP.NET
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio/Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience with Visio for DB Architectural design
  • Well-developed PC Skills and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) applications are required
  • Excellent analytical, organizational skills, writing and communications skills
  • Solution oriented/Ability to identify customer needs in advance and create solutions that meet/exceed those needs
  • Ability to speak to Business partners openly to create solutions that work and advise of roadblocks and/or challenges
  • Self-motivated individual, who can work under minimal supervision, has the ability to work with a group as well as individually and is a team player
  • Enrolled in an Accredited School BA/BS program. Computer Science/Information Systems major preferred.

Measurement:

Intern will conduct a presentation on their key learningÆs.

The person would not have to be fluent with both programs, but at least familiar with one of the two. The work is primarily Monday and Tuesday late afternoons/evenings (hours a little flexible).
