Access to Books in Alternative Formats
Textbooks may be available in alternative formats from the publisher or Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFBD), through the Disability Support Services office. A student who is eligible for this accommodation should register with Disability Support Services. If the textbook is available through RFBD, it will be ordered and made available in audio format.
PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING BOOKS IN ALTERNATIVE FORMAT
For use of CFCC’s RFBD membership or other conversion resources, the student must request this service and provide Disability Support Services office with the printed textbook and receipt at least 14 days in advance of the upcoming semester.
Other resources for obtaining books in audio format are:
