1. Writing entries must be formatted using 12-point Times New Roman font.
2. Entries must be double spaced.
3. Each entry must be 500-750 words in length and must respond to the “A Day in the Life” occupational theme.
4. Students entering this contest should respond to the following writing prompt.
5. The author’s name, author’s student ID number, vocational-technical program, author’s address, telephone number, and email address must be completed on the submission form/cover page. The student’s name should not appear anywhere on the actual writing.
6. Submit only well-edited copies that would be ready for publication. Use or omission of punctuation will be considered intentional style and will not be “corrected” by editors.
7. All submissions must be received by Friday, March 1, 2013, at 5:00.

9. DOCUMENTS THAT DO NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARDS.
10. This contest is open to all vocational-technical students enrolled in programs for the 2012-2013 school year.
