FRE 111 Elementary French I

This course introduces the fundamental elements of the French language within a cultural context. Emphasis is placed on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

FRE 112 Elementary French II

This course is a continuation of FRE 111 focusing on the fundamental elements of the French language within a cultural context. Emphasis is placed on the progressive development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

FRE 181 Elementary French I Lab

This course provides an opportunity to enhance acquisition of the fundamental elements of the French language. Emphasis is placed on the progressive development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through the use of supplementary learning media and materials. Upon completion, students should be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to spoken and written French and demonstrate cultural awareness. A co-requisite for FRE 111.

FRE 182 Elementary French II Lab

This course provides an opportunity to enhance acquisition of the fundamental elements of the French language. Emphasis is placed on the progressive development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through the use of supplementary learning media and materials. Upon completion, students should be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to spoken and written French and demonstrate cultural awareness. A co-requisite for FRE 112.

FRE 211 Intermediate French I

This course provides a review and expansion of the essential skills of the French language. Emphasis is placed on the study of authentic and representative literary and cultural texts.

FRE 212 Intermediate French II

This course is a continuation of FRE 211. Emphasis is placedon the continuing study of authentic and representative literaryand cultural texts.
