Cape Fear Community College’s Music Department offers general music courses, advanced music courses, performing ensembles, and music lessons in group or individual settings for several instruments and voice. These courses are transferable and can lead toward a specialized Associates of Fine Arts Degree or may fulfill general education requirements toward another two-year degree. More information about all of these courses can be found by accessing the Music Links menu. Information about instrumental and vocal lessons can be found under Class & Applied Courses.
The music courses offered may be taken to fulfill general course requirements or for the pleasure of learning more about different styles of music, how to play a new instrument, how to improve on an existing instrument, or to have performance opportunities in one of CFCC many ensembles. Through these courses students will learn problem-solving skills, cooperation techniques and can find outlets for individual and group expression through musical performances.
