Peggy W. Lupton was the first music instructor at CFCC.  She teaches applied and class piano, American music, country music, and music appreciation.  Mrs. Lupton is the author of American Music Workbook published by Kendall Hunt.  She earned the Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Master of Music in Music Education at East Carolina University.  Her teachers include Arvid Snornieks, Marvin Blickenstaff, and Jeannine Romer Morrison.  She is a member of the Cape Fear Music Teachers Association, has a small piano studio at home, and is frequently asked to adjudicate piano contests and festivals in central and southeastern North Carolina.
