If you need help with math, you have several options available to you at Cape Fear Community College.
1. Your math instructor is available and eager to assist you in being successful in your math course.
2. The Math-PE Department has an Open Lab in Room S617 (sixth floor of the McLeod Building) on the Downtown Campus.
3. The Arts and Sciences Division has the Learning Lab available in the Library Building. For more information, click Learning Lab.
Open Lab in S617 – Students are encouraged to come and study together. This is not a computer lab (no computers for students). Students should bring pencil, paper, calculator, textbook, etc. and may bring laptop, ipad, etc., as appropriate. (WiFi is available.) A tutor is available on scheduled hours Monday – Thursday. Math instructors are available throughout the days as posted to assist students with math questions.
If you have questions about or need assistance in your developmental mathematics or other mathematics course, you are invited to visit the Open Lab for assistance. Students should bring specific questions, types of problems, and/or questions and concerns about their math. In addition, we will talk with students concerning the operations of the department relative to their courses. Questions and/or concerns may be addressed to Dr. Claude Moore, Math-PE Department Chair via email email@example.com or phone 910-362-7135 or in office S-602-G.
