North Campus ATM: Jamir Jumoke and Rebecca Stutts are scheduled to meet with Dr. Spring to discuss this issue this week. Results of that meeting will be forthcoming.
Developmental Math: Survey Monkey was conducted to gaher student feedback. Jamir Jumoke shared the results of that survey. Mr. Hufham spoke about the issue from a faculty standpoint. The State changed the mandate for developmental math courses for several reasons. They include: (1) to minimize the time spent in developmental math courses, (2) minimize the costs to students, (3) present concepts in a different way, and (4) to tailor the modules to specific programs of study. Mr. Hufham said that the changes were met with some resistance from the faculty, but they are adapting and correcting problems as they arise. The main focus of the faculty is to make the program work better for students. They are focused on student success.
